4th International NAWDIC Workshop 2026

12 - 14 October 2026 in Karlsruhe (Germany) and online

Invitation

We cordially invite you to participate in the 4th International NAWDIC Workshop taking place in Karlsruhe, Germany, and online from 12 to 14 October 2026. This workshop will be a great opportunity for the international NAWDIC community to come together in person to continue working on the exciting NAWDIC science, to make best use of the observational data set, and to explore additional synergies between the individual projects.

The meeting will start on Mon, 12 October at 13:00h and end on Wed, 14 October in the afternoon (around 15:00h). As last year’s workshop, it will again take place at Campus South of KIT located in the city center of Karlsruhe. Online participation will be possible. A detailed program will be published a few weeks before the workshop starts.

The workshop directly follows the 21st Cyclone Workshop, taking place in Bad Dürkheim (about 70 km from Karlsruhe) the week before.

We invite submission of contributions on (preliminary) results and plans for NAWDIC-related science projects and observation platforms including:

  • NAWDIC-HALO projects and instruments

  • NAWDIC-KITcube and related ground-based observations
  • EUROP and other radiosonde observations
